You really should be talking to your doctor about this. There are many steps you can take even before you get pregnant, including ensuring your folic acid level is correct.

Also, talk with your doctor about how dieting/healthy eating and exercise fits in with your plans to conceive.

I don't eat fruit either, mostly because I find that the sugar in most fruits tends to set up cravings for me. I eat lots and lots of vegetables. You really need to go for both quantity and variety to get what you need. The best way I can say is to go for as many colors as possible. Red, orange, yellow, purple, and of course green. Eat as many colors as you can every day. Good luck!

Eat veggies then!

There's not much you can get from a fruit, that you can't also get from a veggie. And veggies have less sugar.

Edit to add: Oh, and yes, check with doc about appropriate prenatal vitamins/folic acid.

I don't do smoothies, and I don't think watermelon would work in cereal. I'm just trying to figure out options for that reason.

Prenatal vitamins. :) You'll be recommended one anyway, and I *believe* that they're recommended for those trying to conceive as well.

Then you should be including at least 5-7 servings of veggies daily---and a variety of different types each and every day. Your doctor will probably want you to take a multi-vitamin mineral supplement too.

Another option would be to add fruit to smoothies??
Add fruit to muffins, breads, oatmeal, cereal, etc??

My husband and I are planning to have a baby, but I have some questions first before we really get into this.

I don't eat fruit, and I don't like a lot of fruit juices. I'm just picky on taste, if I don't like the taste, I don't eat or drink it.

I eat watermelon in the summer, but that's all, and I drink orange and apple juice but that's it.

Any recommendations as to what I should do to get the nutrients I'll be missing when I do get pregnant?
