With the helpful suggestions that I found on SP I was able to be mentally prepared for a 3 day weekend full of beer, snacks, and fair food. I even lost 1/5 a pound! I feel like just being able to talk to people about my worries for the weekend before the weekend arrived helped me focus on my goal through and through. The best part is that I finally don't feel like I'm on a diet, I just feel like I'm living and eating well! I didn't deny myself things this weekend, I had an ice cream cone and some fair food and the fair that we went to and I had plenty of beer by the campfire as well. I just balanced it with lots of walking/ exercise and tried to enjoy things in moderation or find alternatives for them. The ice cream cone I enjoyed was a small, and the beers I drank were only 55 calories. And no matter what, I logged it all down. The day we went to the fair, I was scared to track my foods, so I wasn't going to for that day, but then the next day I decided that I really ought to so I tracked it all down and to my surprise I only went over my daily caloric goal by a couple hundred and with all the walking we did I still managed to have a deficit. All in all I'm just so happy that I proved to myself that the lifestyle that I'm trying to develop is one that actually CAN fit in with the lifestyle that I enjoy to live! WOO HOO
