I completely understand the binge cycle. You are not alone. My theory on it is that your body is nutrient deprived and is sending the signal to eat no matter what. We are designed to crave sugar but that is not what your body needs. Processed foods will make the feeling to binge even worse.
The solution is to eat as much fruits, veggies and whole grains that you need until this feeling passes. Avoid high calorie, low nutrient, processed foods as much as you can but don't beat yourself up over it. Just add in the high nutrient foods (lots of it) and it will subside. Also, take a multivitamin.
Since I changed my diet from a high protein, low carb diet to a high fruit, veggie and whole grain semi-vegetarian diet this rarely happens to me anymore. My experience was to start every Monday being "good" with an Atkins based diet high in meat and veggies and cut out all carbs including whole grains. By Thursday (or 4 days later) I would be moody, dizzy, low energy and super hungry. The rest of the week I would eat and eat and eat. I would have sweets and ice cream as well as fast food several times through the weekend. This cause my weight to plateau despite working out regularly. Sorry if I am rambling but thought you might relate to that as well too.
The documentary "Hungry For Change" really opened my eyes and immediately changed my diet to the theory they discussed. It is available on Netflix and can be watched instantly. Or just search the internet for it. Since making the changes recommended in the film, my cravings stopped, my skin looks much better and my weight is dropping again and no longer on the plateau. Hope this information has helped you. Good Luck!

I'm on a two day binge right now. I know what I am doing, faithfully logging everything I eat and drink into my nutrition tracker so I can see how bad it is, and I am forgiving myself. Tomorrow is another day and I have promised myself to get back on track, which I will do. Binges will happen throughout your life. Learn how to control them and not let them get too out of hand.

I have been so good, but this weekend has been a binge-fest. It's like I'm not in control of my own body. I hate it, but most of all it makes me hate myself. Someone give me advice or a personal experience with binging? Right now I just need a friend and some support because I feel absolutely defeated.
