Thank you, that was an inspiration, and encouragement. I too think that sparkpeople has so many encouraging people, and sites of encouraging words that help us change our lives for a more healthier us. I haven't mastered up to jogging yet, but hope to soon. It helps with an ipod with some jamming music though doesn't it. It does me, I tend to bee bop a little faster. Spark People is a wonderful site with millions of members struggling with living a healthy lifestyle. I love reading the posts, articles, the exercise videos and so on. You hit it right on the nail..... I really think this is what we all really want, our sexy back! It is sure hard to feel that way with all the excess that we don't need- piling on for some reason or another. I think you just helped a whole bunch of us to realize one of the basic reasons we love this SP so much. Thank you for bringing this out and good luck to you in reaching your goal.

you are wonderful. keep up the great work. i myself have started jogging. i'm 42 and to be able to say i run is wonderful. life is good. you keep putting one foot in front of the other and you will be there before you know it. michelle.
You go girl!!! Life is not easy and all you can do is go forward, have fun and take care of you. Proud of you. That first time you jog is such an experience. I can remember getting to the next mail box and than having to stop. I still am not a fan of running but I do it. I do intervals of walking and jogging. It is a great combination. first off thank you. messages like this bring it all home to me why i'm on here. thanks for the motivation. and have to say i agree totally. i know wat u mean about jogging now, my excuse i am not a runner and never will be but now i can go for slow short jogs and i know it will get easier when i stick at it. a good song for me is "don't stop believing" by journey i heard it for the first time playing out of the speakers at the last quarter of a marathon; "Working hard to get my fill, Everybody wants a thrill Payin anything to roll the dice, Just one more time Some will win, some will lose Some were born to sing the blues Oh, the movie never ends It goes on and on and on and on Dont stop believin, Hold on to the feelin".
and since it always uplifts me if feeling down especially when working out and getting tired this pushes me to the last.
and another song lyric which i have recently been introduced to by the new man in my life and again is key message for whats happened in my life recently is the metallica lyric of nothing else matters; "Forever trusting who we are and nothing else matters

Good for you! I am not jogging, and don't know if I will - I have bad knees, and both parents had knee replacements, so want to avoid that if possible. BUT, I am very impressed that you are jogging. Keep up the GREAT work! Congrats Patti

Just want you to know that by jogging, you are several step ahead of me. I DON'T jog or run..... YET I may do crazy dancing moves for 30 min, but not jogging. SP is there to give you support, so stop my my page and visit. It took me a while to learn how to do stuff, and I still don't want my picture on as the icon; but it's great fun to chat with others who have similar goals. Surf around, find groups that motivate you. Open up and have fun. Best of luck.

When i started with Spark i was at a low in my life. I want to give everyone a big thank you. All the motivation and success stories are a big help, i believe in me, now. I am able to "jog". I thought i would NEVER be able to even say that word. Not too fast but i can jog, now. Last night while "jogging" i was listening to my ipod. I filled it with up beat moving songs and motivating songs. As time was getting closer to end "reason" came on. I thought i do have a reason to do this, ME and many more reasons...my family. Then the next song was "sexy back" so i thought of course that is what i want to get back and that is what i am going to look like when i reach my goal...Thank you again and for the many reasons i want to get my sexy back!! I do believe in me and i owe a lot of it to all of you. Thank you!!
