Something that I am finding helps a lot is to drink a cup of hot black tea. It just seems to arrest that sugar craving somehow. And taking a walk - very good. I have definitely been out walking because I knew it was keeping me from binging- and that is a good thing. If you have an iPod or iPhone, download the Sparkradio podcasts and listen to them while you go. They are very uplifting and positive.
Today's excuses are tomorrow's regrets dressed in disguise.
If you eat crap, you feel like crap and that makes you want more crap.

Sometimes I find that it also helps to know that you can plan for another serving in the future. Those cookies will still be there tomorrow, and you can work them into your plan. Just knowing that you CAN have the cookies in the future sometimes lessens wanting them right now.

Eating one or even two sugar cookies does not make you a bad person or an unhealthy one. That is a perfectly acceptable portion size.
Now, if you find that the cookies are still calling your name, time to take a walk. Out of sight. out of mind. Also, you can always ask your mom to put the cookies away so that you're not tempted to eat the entire tray. I'm sure she's baking those cookies for a special occasion.
So, you've had your portion, time to step away from the cookie tray.

My mom baked a million cookies and I ate one and now I want to polish off the whole batch!!!
