You're admitting defeat when you are just starting the journey. How's that been working out for you. I think much of the battle is in our heads. Believe you can do this. Believe you can stick with it. Stop describing yourself as fat and lazy. Just stop being so negative. Easier said than done, I know but change the script in your head. Each time you start saying and writing negative things about your journey, STOP, and change the script.
I can do this. I will do this. I am sticking with this. I am strong and powerful. I'm not going to sugar coat it. The first month to six weeks kinda sucks, but if you stick with it, you'll see that it gets easier and you begin to feel so much better. And each meal, each day is an opportunity to start over. You only fail when you stop getting back up.

I give all new members one piece of advice and it's this,"Don't look at good health or weight loss with an all or nothing mentality". If the only healthy thing you did for yourself today was drink 8 glasses of water, that's still a step in the right direction. Remember, you're trying to change habits learned over a life time. that's not going to happen overnight, a week, a month or even a year. Change takes time. Thus the need to be patient with yourself and your body. Don't try to do everything at once or you will end up frustrated. That's why Spark People encourages all its members to start with some simple changes first.
Set some simple goals. Example, if you're not eating 6-9 servings of fresh fruit and veggies, set a goal to eat 2-3 servings each day for one week. if you're not drinking 8 glasses of water, set a goal to drink 2-4 glasses each day for one week. if you're not exercising, don't start with an hour a day, set a goal to take a 30 minute walk each day for one week. Once you've achieved those goals. Then you set new ones.
Here's the thing you never learn in the diet books. You never learn that losing weight can be boring and tedious. Shows like the Biggest Loser make it look exicting, but it's not. It's a lot of grunt work. pardon the expression. lol. There are going to be days you don't want to exercise. there are going to be days you want to eat anything that isn't nailed down. These are days that happen to every single person.
The goal isn't to eliminate those days. the goal is to DECREASE the number of times is happens. No one is perfect. You don't have to be perfect to be healthy.
So, let me ask you, what simple things can you'd like to do this week ? Every little bit really does make a difference.

I don't know if you can see these or not...a fitness guy I follow on FB posted these great motivational posters by followers that I thought were awesome:
For me, I have pants that are too small that I try on every time I lose a few pounds. It feels great when I can fit into them a little bit better. I've even thought about taking them out of the drawer and sitting them on the couch next to me for when I want to over-snack......

Is it? Is it really easy to be fat and lazy? Does it feel good? Perhaps you can think about that....
Motivation comes from within! I have posted this quote many times...

I see that you are tracking a little exercise and not tracking your food. Start to learn about nutrition and portion control. Don't consider logging a diet but a way you can get healthier, and leaner, by logging, staying active, eating more fruits and veggies, resistant starch grains, healthy fats,, seeds and nuts and low fat dairy. Start reading all that spark has to offer. Watch you sodium and sugar intake.
Remember... Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try...take 2 minutes everyday to reflect on your goals...sometimes we convince ourselves through repetition.
Being lazy ...you might consider that accumulations of fat ... in your liver, your heart and your brain....are a result of not being active. Start moving every 20 minutes as it will help.

You have to be ready for change and put all your effort towards that until it actually becomes habit and a new lifestyle.

I am trying to saty motivated and not give up. It is so easy to be fat and lazy. I feel good on day 10 but I know me and I will soon be giving up. How to I stay on track???
