What an accomplishment! High five!

I love hiking but it's really flat around here and I go with my kids so I don't really get a good calorie burn from it but activity is activity and it's better than lazing around my backyard, right?

It doesn't matter how stressful my day was, I get out into nature and immediately any heaviness is lifted. It turns any frown, upside down and is a great way to connect with my family. So although, I likely burn few calories during it. It is the best activity for mind, body and soul. A much healthier substitute than finding comfort in food.

Take your focus off the Marshmallow.

"Toning" is marketing muscles to women who are afraid if they pick up a barbell, they'll leave the gym looking like She-Hulk. It doesn't happen, what does happen is you get results. Lifting Barbie weights does nothing but waste time.

emoticon I LOVE hiking! I have a hike planned for Monday with my sister and a friend. Keep it up, it's an excellent way to get in exercise while forgetting that you are technically working out.

I am so proud of myself. Last summer after losing about 20 lbs on my own before SP I attempted a local hike with a friend and was humiliated when I couldn't go past 20 minutes before turning back. I've since lost 70 more pounds and have worked my way up from a few days a week of aquafit to 5 days of Zumba, weight training and other cardio equipment in the gym. That hike has been on my mind for the past year and last night, on a whim, I decided to try it early this morning. What took me 20 minutes last year, took 7 and I continued on for a total of about 50 minutes up and then about 20 down. I even JOGGED briefly on the way down! Who am I?? LOL

Just had to post because I'm so proud. Woot!
