Hi, I have completed my first week and when I weighed my self I have not lost even a pound. I have tracked my calories and done 10 min cardio excercise 6 times, and strength training 3 times this wk. According to tracking the burnt calories I have burned more than my goal. If I maintain these habits will I be able to reduce weight eventually or I am doing less? I see success stories of people who have began and lost some wt immediately. I hope you know of more people like me. TC.
Hi all i am new as well. This is a brilliant cant begin to tell you all how excited i am to feel i will be finally able to lose weight. When you track your strength training why isnt your calories shown?
Hey any suggestions on what to do? Spend more time on the site, play with it, videos,....all very vague. I just want to start a program and can't find any description of what I am supposed to do. Intro?
JDUFF52 - if you click on the "Healthy Lifestyle" tab, near the top of your page, another page opens up. From this new page, choose the "Videos" option, and many videos will be available to you, with several time frames to choose from - even some six minute ones that you can fit in when you need something quick! I love the Coach Nicole videos.

You do not have to eat what is on the menu. If you want suggested substitutes for an item, click on it's name; if you want suggested substitutes for the whole meal, you can click change meal. Eating what is on the menu, however, is not required. You are free to come up with your own plan, but try to track everything! Don't get frustrated if you go over your goals, it happens, just pick up and keep working. These first couple weeks especially are for you and your body to get used to the system.

Welcome! I am also new to the site, only have been here for 6 weeks. There is a TON of stuff on this site, you just need to spend some time looking around and finding what works for you. I just began reading "The Spark" and I highly recommend it. It breaks down everything you need to know about the philosophy of the site and how to make it work for you. This really is not a diet, it is a lifestyle change. Best of luck to you!
I'm following the book, in my third week. My first week with the fast break goals, I ate normally, and only followed my fast break goals. Which were to dring 8 glasses of water and excercise so many days a week. My second week I started eating healther. I've been eating more fruits and veggies. I've also been tracking my calories on here, that has been the most beneficial thin for me so far. I haven't even explored the majority of this website, it's alot. I have used a couple of recipes on SPARK RECIPES. They have been very good. I hope you can have time to walk yourself through the website. In my first 2 weeks of following the spark book, i've lost 4 lbs. Good luck to you and I hope you succeed in reaching your goals.

Hi there! I am new to the site and don't fully understand it yet. I was wondering if anyone in here could give me a little info on navigating through the site. Not really sure where to start.
