Check out the spark teams page to see if you can find groups where you have common interests/goals. That is a great way to find "buddies". I totally understand your sense of hopelessness--I spent 20 years yo-yoing back and forth between 30-100 pounds overweight--never learning how to maintain the losses--and now I have maintained a 100 pound loss for more than a year, and it's the best feeling ever!! The slow and steady approach worked for me this time--I had been impatient and desperate so many times in the past, but once I decided to be more patient and forgiving of myself and to just not give up--even when progress was slow--I made it to my goal!! Staying here, I think, is easier this time, because I learned the healthy habits better since I did it slowly-- This a a very supportive and positive place--welcome!!
Welcome to SP! Under introduce yourself where it says topic, put Buddy needed. Best wishes to you.
