I put in my meals for the day today and im in the range. and of course today was the day that i have a weak moment and had a little debbie treat. *sigh* its been a rough day. But my concern is that im not burning enough calories. Ill be honest this the first time ive been on this site in almost 3 years. I stopped logging on when i hit my last rough patch. ive only been trying again for about 2mths sooooo im probably putting too much pressure on myself. *deep breath* Im in that stage of just trying to find the right balance between eating and exercising. Its tough.

What is your daily range given to you by sparkpeople? How many calories a day do you get?

If you don't track your food (everything), start doing so. You could be consuming too many calories a day, even without junk food.

The best exercise in the world is to bend down and help someone up.

i own no computer. none at all. I think im just wondering if im doing enough. Thats where the real problem is. I do these workouts and they are about 1hr each i don one in the morning mon-fri and im not seeing very many results. Im eating healthy. Not eating junk food. I do my best to drink plenty of water and when at work if the weather isnt too bad i walk my dog on my lunch for 30 min. I just need to find the right kind of exercise that will be fun for me and give me results.

DARYMAY,

You don't need a gym membership to be fit. If you find yourself bored with your current DVDs, then why not check out YOUTUBE ? There are tens of thousands (no exaggeration) of free online workouts posted on youtube. Do a search on something you'd like to try. How about belly dancing ? try a belly dancing workout. If you don't want dancing, there are boot camp workouts for 10 mins or 60 minutes. you could do a different YOUTUBE workout every day and never see the same face twice in a year.

Do you have a library near you ? Your local library is not only a great resource for book, you can also borrow DVDs and CDs. Go to the library and borrow some DVD workouts.

There is no reason to fret or worry. there is plenty of time to achieve a level of fitness prior to those weddings. It's just a matter of finding the right fit for you, literally and figuratively.

Remember, the exercise doesn't stop once we've achieved our goals. If we want to be fit our entire life (and not just for a wedding), then we need to be active in some way for our entire life. That's why you should find something you enjoy. Because when you enjoy doing something, you look forward to that something each and every day.

Also, exercise IS a great way to release tension and reduce stress. Studies have shown that a regular exercise program can reduce depression in a person.

So I'm sure there those of us out there that are unable to afford a gym membership. I am definitely one of those. Gyms are just far too expensive for me right this minute. So instead I purchased an exercise dvd program. Its the X TrainFit program. It has I think 12 Dvds with different types of workouts on each one. I've been doing the program for about 2.5-3 weeks and now I'm bored. I'm tired of looking at the same people. I'm in a little bit of a slump and I'm feeling the pressure. I have TWO weddings coming up. One in august (I'm only a guest at this one) and another in November (I'm the maid of honor in this one). The pressure is on! Now I'm not expecting to reach my goal weight before the weddings but i want to lose as much as possible before the November wedding. I'm trying to de-stress but its becoming difficult. And I'm having a hard time figuring out something new to do. If anyone has any new workout ideas and any advice on how to remain stress free during all these wedding events i would greatly appreciate it. emoticon
