Thank you for your comments....we will both get there, I am subscribing to suggested....slow and steady wins the race....I will just keep tracking, exercising and as long as the scale doesn't go up, I am resolved to be happy and stay on track...

We can do might just take a bit more time for us....

I just wanted to lend my support and nearly complete understanding. I too have been at it for three years and am also stuck at 163 for the last two months! :( I have my crazy work schedule and impending move to blame for that, but I too want to see the scale move too.

All the best to you :)

Thank you I think I was mentally going down a bad path as I am stuck...but you are soo right it took me over 3 years to put on the weight after being down to 154.00 and here I am only ten pounds away....I think I will change my mental perspective, keep tracking, getting my exercise and take to heart that slow and steady wins the race....

I started on 4.2.13 when I went to the doctors and was diagnosed as obese...I am 5'4"...well I go back to the doctors for my yearly physical on 7.16 next Tuesday and I am down 12 lbs since then and know I am now at the overweight BMI and not in the obese range...I wanted to be normal by then but realize that, that much weight drop in 3 months was an unrealistic goal...I do have patience and will celebrate the successes....

Success so far...

* Down 12 lbs...
* I have 3,728 fitness minutes since 4.2.13
* My clothes in my closet are starting to all fit again
* I am wearing a size 8, totally a normal size
* I tried on a few of my swimsuits and would happily go to the beach in them without embarasment...

Overall, by taking a step back, I see that I am doing really well...

Goal for the day, quit beating myself up.....I can do this!!!!

Thank you,

Whle a safe weekly weight loss would be 1-2 pounds per week, there will be weeks you don't lose. There will even be weeks you gain ! And that doesn't mean you're doing anything wrong. As a person gets closer to a healthy weight for their height, they will notice their weight will start to slow down. And that is perfectly normal. Someone who is morbidly obese could see the weight drop off week after week, but at some point they too will have weeks they don't lose.

So, don't beat yourself up because the weight isn't coming off as fast as you'd like. Remember, you didn't gain the weight overnight, it's not coming off overnight. Weight loss is a slow steady process that takes time.

I can assure you that IF you continue to eat right, watch your portions and get some regular exercise, the scale will move again. Let's put a positive spin on the last couple of week. You haven't gained any weight. And even if you did, it doesn't mean you're doing anything wrong.

Patience, it's a virtue. the hot weather is probably causing some water retention. this is not unusual. I get bloated in the hot weather.

Don't worry, you're doing fine.
