I usually repaint when I get bored with the color. I have lived in my house 12 years and my kitchen is on it's 5th color and I plan to repaint soon!!

it took me 2 years after moving into our house to finally decide on the colours so I really hope I don't have to do it again for many years!

Every 5 to 7 years, depending on color...if you have a light color, need to paint more often

You're supposed to paint your walls? lol... I've been in my house five years... things are starting to need painting. Did my entry way last winter. THinking about my bedroom, but those lofted ceilings intimidate me.

Unfortunately our interior needs it bad- people who did it last (builders, maybe?) did a terrible job, worst I've ever seen (brush marks, etc.). That said, it's been five years and still not gotten to it! Due to high ceilings, I'll pay someone to do it.

Smaller rooms like a bathroom or bedroom we do ourselves and typically when the color needs changing.

Only twice in the past 10 years. The first week I moved in because they were stained and smelled like smoke and then again five years ago.

When needed? when you get bored of the color? when and why? When needed here. Sometimes I think I am bored of my main bathroom colors but I'm not really I just love a new color and usually that new color goes in my bathroom. I will keep my bathroom like it is for a few more years and wait for the color to not be in so much so then I can get things on clearance and sale for when I do redo my bathroom. emoticon
