This is one of my challenges, actually, since we work 3rd shift, and my mate is rarely hungry when we first get home (and there are zombies! Zombies need killing after a long night of dealing with customers! bless his gamer heart), so it's not unusual for us to have meal (I don't even try to call it breakfast, lunch or dinner) around noonish, and be in bed by 2pm (the latest to get a full 8 hours of sleep for us). *sigh* I haven't figured a way around that yet.

I wake up every day with the realization that this is it, that there's only one shot at this life and I can either enjoy the ride and live it to its fullest and to my highest potential or I can stay the way I am.
Last meal or last snack? I eat my last meal by 5 pm and usually go to bed around 10 p.m. Some nights I will have a snack anytime before bed, sometimes right before bed if I am really hungry and I know that I cannot sleep well without it.
the closest i eat before bedtime is finishing a meal [pizza, soup, stew, whatever], brushing my teeth and hopping into bed. otherwise i would get crumbs and food in bed with me. eating close doesn't bother my sleep and i don't mindlessly eat, so there isn't any reason for me to not eat as close to bed as i want. in fact if i don't eat close enough to bed, i wake up in the middle of the night.
It is okay to eat a small meal.. Just don't leave a huge majority of the food to last thing.. The body can't process pizza and salty foods so well or alcohol...
However meal structure is every lossing weight and what people put in the daily calorie alotment means everything..
Eat everything wrong with the calorie range you will either be hungry or no loss weight...

No I don't follow that rule either. I don't like to go to bed hungry, so I always have a low calorie snack around 9:00 because I go to bed late.

I heard recently that you should not eat anything at least three hours before going to bed. Just curious if there are others out there who try to follow that practice? I don't. The hours between my last meal and bedtime varies. Maybe that's one reason why my loss the last couple of weeks have been negligible.
