I'll eat it up to 5 days after putting it in the fridge. I didn't realize that was too long!

3 days is safe. I freeze any immediately after they cool if I don't plan to eat them in the next 2 days after cooking.

Cooked chicken breast... only a day I would say, chicken isnt something to be lacksicle over.

but cooked chicken breast freezes perfectly!

If you freeze in seperate bags for each portion its so easy!

Figure out how many you're going to eat today and tomorrow, and put the rest in the freezer now.

I'm pretty relaxed about food safety in general, but I wouldn't keep the chicken around for more than two days or so. It depends somewhat on how long it sat around before you cooked it, too, but in general I think three days is pushing it. If you freeze it, you stop the deterioration, and it will thaw quickly when it's time to use it.

i say 3-4 days, but you can freeze cooked food too so if it goes over 4 days, wrap it or put it in a plastic container and throw it in the freezer for another day

We grilled up a bunch of chicken breasts yesterday and I'm just wondering how long they are good in the fridge for. Thanks!
