Since time was of the essence with this I did an internet search and found it's 20-40 minutes after eating or drinking anything.

And I did find that to be true - there was a big difference in temperature between right after I ate, in 10 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes and 40 minutes. Well, less so between 30 and 40, but right after eating to 10 to 30 was significantly different.

Ok, it's been forever, years and years and years (10 or more, I think), since I took my temperature. I know you're supposed to not eat or drink a while to get an accurate reading. How long do I wait?
