my initial reaction is - not that important but I am surrounded by family member for whom it is vital. Having said that I do use Christian music to focus me on God and that is a great spirit lifter and I have to have music to workout.

Very. I can't live without it! I wear headphones for many of my cardio workouts, especially when I'm in the gym. Music also helps wake me up in the morning and put me in a good mood.

Very, music can lift me up when I'm down and motivate me when needed. It can also inspire me to move forward and continue to improve myself. I love most types of music and listen to some type of music every single day. Music makes life so much more interesting. :)

Great question!!

Music is my therapy! I couldn't enjoy my life as much without it. Whether I am humming to myself during work or blasting a cd in my car, music is part of me!

It's so important.

I use it for motivation, for when I am sad and need something to relate, I even have a playlist for when I am angry so I can sing along loud to get it out.

I listen to it while I get ready, and while I am cleaning...

I couldn't imagine it any other way :)

It is very important. :) I'm a piano teacher. Classical music has a special place in my heart, but I love lots of styles. Rock is the best for working out. :)

Very. I love music. Perhaps a bit much. I can get irritated very easily if I'm being bothered while I'm listening to my music. But I need it to drown out distractions and give me something more "productive" (I suppose) to focus on.

Plus it helps shift my mood when I'm in a bad one. Though I usually have to start out listening to what I refer to as my "angry songs" before I move on to calmer ones...Or it can make a good mood better. Nothing like a really silly song to brighten up a day.

I love music (listening, not playing). It's important to me and always has been. When I'm sad, happy, etc. it helps.

Not terribly important. I like background music but I don't often like to listen to the words of a song. My Mother was the same way, so I'm blaming her. emoticon My daughter on the other hand, says that music is her life and my husband is a music lover also. They want music on all the time, loud enough to hear the words, which quickly begins to irritate me. I try to tolerate it for their sakes but I prefer the sound of silence most of the time.

Very important. I love christian songs that encourage me and other genres of songs that have an uplifting beat and message. Those songs can make me feel like I can do anything even on the days that I feel like I can do nothing at all. I listen to them as I clean or ride in my car.

The first song I learned in gammer school, many years ago, after learning The American Anthem, was "Without a song, the day will never end". So there is always a song in my heart no matter where I am. God Bless Everyone, Vic.

SO Important. I can not make it through a day without listening to it. It always brings me a smile and I have a different artist or genre for any mood I am in. I love walking to class bopping down the side walk to my ipod. It makes my workouts so much more enjoyable. I also love to sing and do almost every single day (often subconsciously haha).

Music used to be very important to me, then not so much, now it is getting to be a little more important again.
You see, I was a vocalist until I gained so much weight I couldn't get enough breath and my vocal cords became, I guess cramped is the best way to explain it. Now that I am losing weight, I am finding it easier to stretch my vocals again. God bless

Music IS my life. I'm in a choir and a freelance fiddler/violinist. Nothing like making music with other people. Classical, pop, rock, folk, jazz and blues . . . I'm rarely in silence.

I still remeber my music teach in grammer school (Miss Pooley) and the impact she had on my life.
Thank You for being a music teacher. God Bless, Vic, Team Leader of SP God's Family.

Very important it drowns out the verbal diarea flying around me in the male dominated side of the gym.. My mp3 ran out of battery and listening to someone singing Michael Jackson I'm not the one really cramped my concentration..

Music is very important to me. I was raised by a father who was a huge lover of the good stuff... Queen, AC/DC, The Beatles, classic rock. It shaped my outlook on music and branched me off into several other genres, and I'm currently a 20 y/o who has been playing piano for 15 years. I've also got a treble clef tattooed on my shoulder. Music offers a great escape for me.

"How important is music to your life?"

More important than TV, that's for sure!

I like everything except country and rap.

Music is very important to me; it is a big part of my life. I listen to music while working, doing house work, working out, driving, etc.

I like a pretty wide variety of music, but I tend to listen to different things, depending on what I'm doing. I might listen to classical while studying, rock while writing, and salsa and other dance music while working out, for example.

Do you enjoy all kinds of music, or do like one more than the others? God Bless, Vic.
