I am such a routine person too! I get up early on the weekends and walk the dog. It gets my system moving! Then I feed the dog, get ready to go to the gym, and eat breakfast. I will then watch the news or check out the internet for awhile, and get to the gym by 9:00. I work out for a couple of hours, so by the time I get home, I shower then eat lunch. Then if I don't have something going on I make a plan. I need to keep busy so I don't think of food. I have completed a photo organizing project, cleaned out closet, etc. By the time I get done what I want to it's about dinner time, and then I can relax at night watching TV or reading a book. Again, I think it's important to "plan" to keep busy, so that's what I do!

I have been enjoying weekends as my time to "interact" with food in ways other than simply eating it. I head to the produce store and the italian market.... i flip through cooking sites.... i plan some nice meals, and i have FUN spending time in my kitchen. And eventually I get to eat the results. :)

My more stressful moments occur when I go out to eat - which happens usually at least 1x per weekend. I really dislike "estimating" - I want to know, is that soup 185 calories, or 460? Is that a four ounce piece of chicken, or six? (Most restaurants that i enjoy visiting are not "chains" and therefore don't have glitzy websites with nutritional information - so I really do have to just guess). I just try and make the healthiest choices that I can, estimate as best as I'm able, and eat the same portion size as I would have eaten at home. Such a challenge, but getting easier with practice.

Goal 1 - break 200 (46 pounds lost)**DONE**
Goal 2 - leave obesity behind (BMI 29.9, at 185#) **DONE**
Goal 3 - BMI = Normal (154# or less)

nothing that I don't do during the regular week. I don't treat weekends that differently. The only difference is that i am at home vs the office.

I also like routines and I like to plan. So I plan for my weekends the best I can. But I also know that things happen...there's a death in the family, the water heater breaks, someone comes down with a cold. That's okay, I did the best I can. But normally, I can see what I'll be doing that weekend and plan around it. Wake up a bit early on Sunday and go for a run. Eat a super light lunch because I know there will be a lot of food at a party. If I'm going to be out and about all day, think ahead to figure out what I can eat while I'm out.

I'm very routine oriented. So, weekdays are my most productive and disciplined days. But weekends seem to derail me. How do you stay focused on your fitness/weightloss goals on the weekends?
