I second the fitness maps on here. They are very accurate and do all the math for you.

use google maps or the odometer in your car to track exactly how far a mile is on your route.
then take a watch with you and time how long it takes you to run that mile, and again to see how long it takes you to walk it.

You can also get a pedometer that tracks the distance you've gone. Even a good one is pretty inexpensive.

you can map your route on this site in the fitness tracking and enter the total amount of time you walked and it will calculate it for you.

I am having difficulty accurately measuring the amount of minutes it take for etch mile or km I travel. Does anyone have an easy way to calculate this? I am clueless.
