I just upped mine this week after seeing others. I like everyone's suggestions. I will try and make the 1800 goal then once I hit it I will raise it in 25 increments. emoticon I did get int 50 minutes today and it feels great. emoticon

Mine is 1600 per week. I run twice a week, do the elliptical and lift weights and sometimes go to a class. Works for me.

I dont have a set goal either. But on average I burn about 4,200/week. Its based off of a time goal or training goal.

I don't have a calorie burn goal - more a time goal. I work out at least 30 minutes per day (usually more) every single day and mix up what I do. I honestly have no idea how many calories I burn because that varies by person and activity level and weight so there's really no way to know exactly how much you burn so I'd like to have a goal I know I can meet.

3020 is my goal I have not made that as of yet as I set that goal 4/28/2013 I am not discouraged because I did not reach that goal I just keep trying I will not give up!!!

Thank you all....I will be upping my target starting this week. I do walk on the treadmill at least three times a week for 45 minutes at 3 mph or higher and I usually average 2 to 2 1/2 miles each time. But I do need to increase everything. emoticon

I have my Body Media set for burning 750 calories a day which is what works for me based on food, water and exercise

It would be interesting to see some others comment on how many calories they are set to burn per week. I think you could probably increase your goal a bit. It is quite possible you consistently burn more calories than that per week already, depending on how much exercise you do.

To put it into perspective, walking 3mph -- which is a relatively slow pace -- for 20 minutes, i.e. one mile, would equal 116 calories burned for you. Therefore, if you walked for one hour, three times per week, you would burn over 1,000 calories. That would obviously increase if you were doing more high intensity things -- like biking, running, elliptical, etc.

I would just caution you to be realistic. If you set goals for yourself that are not something you can realistically attain given your commitments and your lifestyle, you are going to end up being frustrated with your inability to achieve those unrealistic goals. I've definitely been there, and it a place that is supportive of losing weight or maintaining a healthier lifestyle.

I would encourage you to set a goal that's realistic for you. My fitness calorie goal is currently set at 3600 calories. But, that works for me in that I work out an hour or more 6 days a week. I also don't have kids and my house is a mess right now! :)

My goal is to burn 3,270 calories per week.

I think it depends on how active you plan to be -- which is something the SparkPeople site incorporates into your calorie goal for exercising & for eating. It also depends on how much weight you are trying to lose.

My goal includes me exercising 45 minutes, 7 days per week.

I have 650 calories as a goal set to burn per week. I feel like this may not be enough. What is your goal.
