When I came home Friday, tired and hungry from a day of substitute teaching, my daughter had brought home a box of fresh donuts. "What am I going to do about this?", I asked myself. The first thing I did was drink a big glass of water because I had not been able to keep as hydrated as I usually do. Then I went and changed into jeans that had just started to fit. That snugness helped me remember what I have accomplished, so far. I was able to, not ignore the donuts, but not eat them either: they smelled really good so I convinced myself I could just enjoy the smell. I got to work making a Spark recipe (Cheesy Quinoa with Black Beans and Salsa - amazingly good!) and my family loved it! I have come to love the feeling of control I have when I can ignore the pull of unhealthy food and empty calories. Hope this helps you on your Spark journey.
