I use to belong My-Calorie-Counter website (kinda like this one but with a way more awkward
message board). I saw some folks making posts about SparkPeople there and tried it out, haven't left since.

So many more people to help!

I'm a server at Cracker Barrel, so I'm always posting Spark Flyer's and Cards in the Break Room and Handing out cards to guests when the topic comes up about weight loss or fitness. I always hear the same thing....

What did you say? Spark what?

I think I googled something like "diet tracker."

My parents have been using a program called Diet Power for many years--I wanted something like that which was online/free.

I have been a member since August of 2011.

I joined for the first time in July or August 2006. A friend referred me.

I have a new user name now, though, because I forgot all the info for the last one.

How Did You Find SparkPeople? emoticon

(Share how long you have been a member)

I Found Spark after my "failed" diet with Atkins (lost 5 lbs) for 8 months. (before that was South Beach Diet Lost 10 lbs..)

Lost and Gained Back in that vicious Diet Circle..

(I'm 5'8) Once I hit my highest weight ever: 197.7 lbs and needed to go shopping for BIGGER clothes and pants bc my size 16's were cutting me in half, I broke down in a dressing room and started balling!

I pulled myself together and REFUSED to buy anything.

I came home and searched for free support groups and found Spark!!

emoticon

Within a few weeks I lost an inch or two and some weight where my 16's were not cutting me in half and I moved forward from there.

I have lost 24 lbs and many inches since! In a size 12 and XL shirts/tops now..

I need to lose 24 MORE lbs and more inches to reach my Goal/Maintaining Weight now and I will do it right here with Spark!

My Goal Weight is 148 which should put me in a size 9/10 or maybe even smaller..

I have not been near that size in over 10 years!!

I will never be the skinny size 0 girl before marriage and a baby and I don't want to be that.

I want "meat" on my bones and curves.

Just healthy, tone, fit and feel comfortable in my skin/clothes!

emoticon
