thank you! And even small steps are better than no steps at all! One of the reasons I decided not to have sweets (except for those days) is sugar is just so bad for you.. And it`s so easy to eat dessert every day, or snack on chocolate covered pretzels or something. Pretty soon that`s ALL i wanted to eat. You have a little sugar, and yur body wants more. So i just said F THAT one day lol.
I myself am struggling with the "When can I have my next cake? " question. Honestly, this helped a lot. I don't know that I'll adopt your exact method, but I -will- make rules for myself. (I'm a rebel, can't be too rigid. Lol.) So, thank you for posting. :D
Up until now, I've been trying and failing, trying and failing to even change my eating habits consistently. It's still early days yet, but it's like somethings shifted internally... I am excited to eat healthy. I made a decision I was going to only eat sweets on holidays and birthdays. Before I would always always think about chocolate cake or ice cream and if I did eat it even if it was portion controlled, I'd wonder, when can I have the next slice of cake or cupcake? A week? No, two weeks.. no twice a week. It was NOT GETTING ME ANYWHERE it was making me over-think and making me gain weight. I've lost 12 lbs and hopefully more because I've been working out, but I'm not weighing myself until Tuesday. Have a goal of losing 20 lbs by June 1, 2013. A bigger goal of 68 lbs, asap.
