We will be doing a Mediterranean Cruise about 3 weeks after we get married. I think I might be more excited for our honeymoon then the wedding its self haha.

We have never done a cruise, does anyone have any tips?

We are going on a cruise to the Bahamas. We were just going to get a regular balcony room but his. Mom said she would pay the difference for us to get the most expensive suite. I cant wait it has a giant balcony and a tub. Lol I am just as excited for the honeymoon as I am for the wedding day.

We are having a camping honeymoon at Lake Willoughby in Westmore VT. A wonderful way to enjoy our home state, and be totally alone in nature with eachother.

Definitely New Orleans but avoid in the summer when it will be hot AND humid. The vibe is very romantic. I like going there Sunday-Thursday to avoid some of the crowds, get better hotel rates and there is always plenty of music. emoticon

Hello everyone. I am new to the site. My fiancée and I are getting married in April 2015. We set the date that far out because there are 5 kids graduating in our family in May 2014 and two of them are my twin daughters so we thought April 2014 wasn't a good time. It gives us plenty of time to have the perfect wedding we both want.

Our honeymoon is going to be 7 days at an adult only all inclusive resort in Cancun Mexico and then off to 7 days in Hawaii. My fiancée is from Hawaii

5 luxurious days at an all inclusive all adult resort in Riviera Maya....can't wait! This will be both of our first vacation (not including those to see family) that we will be taking in over a decade. Just 3 more weeks :)

Flying to London and doing a tour of England, Ireland and Scotland. Three weeks total with longer stay in London and two nights in Paris. I am so looking forward to this and it makes all the wedding planning/work more tolerable!

I recommend Disneyland/Disneyworld! There are hotels close by that are luxurious but cheap. And make Sure to grab a free pin at City Hall that says "Just Married". All f the cast members and guests will be congratulating you all day! :) We felt famous!

We haven't decided yet. A cruise sounds nice... but potentially hard to stick to a healthy eating plan.

We wanted a mix of all-inclusive we-don't-need-to-do-anything and lots of sight seeing potential, so we've booked a 3 night stay in Prague followed by 8 days sailing from Nuremberg to Budapest on the Danube. I'm SO looking forward to it, even if these river cruises are mostly filled with retired folk :)

I'm currently teaching in Japan. We're having the wedding in August then coming back to Japan. The big honeymoon will be in December, when we go to Thailand for two weeks

We rested and relaxed at home for 2 days, and then packed to spend 8-9 days at the beach (an hour drive). We are definitely going back for an anniversary down the road.

I have to say, it was a huge stress relief to not have to head anywhere right away after the wedding and also to be able and pack afterwards.

We originally planned to not take a honeymoon - we have our house on the market and figured it would just be too much. But we rearranged some funds, met with a travel agent and are now going to be spending almost a week in Florida at a Disney resort! The little kid in me can't wait!!!

No official plans. We don't have a lot of money since I'm a perpetual student (not really, but it feels like it some days). We're going to each take the week after off, finish moving into wherever we're living, write thank you notes, sort out gifts, and spend quality, romantic newlywed time together. ;) We are also going to do touristy things in our city, just for fun. Once I'm out of school and have paid off my debts, we want to tour Ireland and Scotland for an anniversary.

We're taking a road trip to Washington DC. We are both history buffs and can't wait to spend time discovering the city together. We are a little nervous because we will be there the week of the election, but we're excited about the potential of things that might go down while we're there.

Since my fiancé is in medical school, we are only taking a small honeymoon. Down to Florida for a week. Planning on going to Disney World, Harry Potter World (since we are both big fans) and plenty of beach time. I'm really want to lose about 40 more lbs and a few inches before then

ROUTE507TOO Posts: 369

We're going to Key West for 7 nights and Miami for 2 nights during spring break next year. I'm in school right now, so even though we're getting married on March 2, we're waiting until my spring break two weeks later to travel. I can't wait. Haven't been on a real vacation for about 3 years. Our vacations have been trips to Maine to stay in our camper at the campground. Fun, but not the same as flying away somewhere.

I'm definitely looking forward to losing some more inches and pounds so I can finally rock my favorite bikini. (Haven't been able to wear it for about 3 years now with my weight gain.)

Since my fiance is getting his masters, he is taking summer classes next summer when we are getting married. we're doing a mini-honeymoon at Cape Cod in MA since we live in Worcester. We're gonna spend two nights there and just relax for a nice weekend. Our big honeymoon/celebration of him graduating graduate school, is going to be Niagara Falls

Well we technically already got married nearly two months ago, so I hope you don't care that I'm posting in the wedding blogs! Lol... But, We haven't had our honeymoon yet, mostly because we couldn't decide where to go. Our options are Cabo, Cayman Islands, Boston, or New Orleans. But we're still unsure.

KELLYDRESCHER,

I hope you'll be visiting us in early May, late August, or September (September would be the best time of the cruise season) if you're hoping to see some northern lights. I've heard of people coming up here expecting to see the aurora without realizing that it's all light, all the time in the summer months.

We're going for two weeks on a cruise and tour of Alaska. We'd spend about 4 nights on the ship and then spend the rest of the time going through the interior of Alaska. We've both wanted to see this state, and this will be our best chance. Honestly, I'm looking forward to seeing the Aurora. I saw it once, and it was just beautiful.

Washington, D.C.! Since we can't be legally married in California, we're having our ceremony here then honeymooning and signing the papers in D.C. the week after the wedding.

three weeks or so after the wedding we cannot...cause we don't have valid documents to travel abroad (when name/address is changed it takes 3-4 weeks to get a new id card) ..so most likely in late June we'll go for a weekend somewhere close (Budapest?). we get married May 25.

We're getting married in a destination- so we are just staying there for two weeks.. We've rented a house for 10 days in St John after our wedding..
After that we hope to get to Cali for a few days a few months after the wedding for another honeymoon.
