Okay, so the tiny bit of sucralose in the normal cola just makes it tastes "off," but the amount in the diet version is absolutely disgusting. Guess I'm going to have to go with putting my rum into tea instead.
As for the Crystal Light, I only had dissolving and strength issues with using Country Time. Did you not get the Crystal Light wet enough before adding it?
Did you try their diet version? They are sweetened with Splenda. We have tried using Crystal Light, but that actually made the soda explode. Did not care for it with fruit juice concentrate. I really enjoy seltzer, but for a special treat I add the orange zest and orange juice from one orange. If you can get blood oranges this tastes even better. You can also use grapefruit if you like them.
I need to take in less sugar, but I don't want to completely give up soda pop. (I even end up drinking it when I accidentally get the aspartame stuff, and the taste makes me gag.) We have a soda stream, and I'd like a starting point for low-sugar flavorings.
