I don't crave salt or sweet (at least not that I have noticed). I tend to crave iron rich foods. Usually a hit of broccoli and liver with onions will take care of it.

I'm salty too. Chocolate, no thanks, but salty treats, come to mama. It's good that you recognize it, now you can work on it!

So...on this journey I am trying to eat mindfully and watch my salt, cholesterol etc..I have been doing well at between 1200-1500mg of sodium a day for three weeks...all of the sudden last night I had insatiable cravings and ate 1900mg of sodium...today I am keeping it at about 1500 mg but my food tastes have changed and I am leaning towards saltier flavored food...I can't believe I have never noticed before...Im exactly seven days pre-cycle so the timing fits but wow!!! I always figured I was a sweets girl but it turns out Im more salty!
