I have a personal theory that works well for me.
I hold that my body is my partner in all things.
The more I pay attention to where it is at any
one time, the more it listens back to me.

If it is signaling that it does not want to work
beyond a certain level, I will back off. WhatI
I find is that the next time I work out, it will
give me even more. emoticon

We have developed a trusting relationship.
I pay attention to what it wants. And it works
to give me the fitness I want. How emoticon
is that!

I work out at the Y 3 days/week. For the last week, I've felt sluggish. I usually do 45 minutes on the elliptical, but stopped at 35 on two days. So yesterday, I kept pressing forward and stuck it out to 50 min. But my ankle hurt, too ---not terribly painful but enough to be annoying.

I think it's because over the last 2 weeks I had several events and had to eat out. I made the best choices I could, but I couldn't weigh my food or control what was in it (added salt or fat, for example.) I gained a pound, so I think that was my problem. I had been losing steadily ---shows how a few meals can put it back on quickly.

I agree. I think we all have days like that and it's ok to go easier on some days. You just can't make a habit of it. If it continues to be persistent, I'd worry and check out what might be happening (perhaps not enough sleep, to few calories, or maybe something medical) but I wouldn't worry about a day here or there.

Don't worry about today. A good night's sleep and you'll be back! This healthy living thing is a long term way to live. Don't put too much on any one day.

Yes...it happens to all of us. It may be the body's way of saying "give me a break!" Take a deep breath, refocus and just Keep Sparkin'!!!

I have been doing so well. The more I exercised and moved the more energy I had. But today it's like I have flat Hit the Wall. Energy gone. Tried my cardio, but back and ankle sore and I did not have the tenacity to stick it out.
Has this ever happened to anyone else? Help! I was really liking the way I was feeling!!
