IT'S LOWER!!! Dr. was pleased with the changes and said we'd revisit the meds in the summer.

Once was at one of those machines at the grocery store, and the other 2 times were at 2 different doctors so it's not an error. Got it checked today and it was 118/78 so now I really don't know what's happening lol

Where are you getting your BP tested? Could it be a machine error?

I really don't think it could be from sodium, because I used to eat a lot of fast food and processed foods, whereas now I am eating mostly fresh food that I prepare myself, so I'm sure my sodium has been at least cut in half. I have a doctor's appointment today and I will ask him about that :)

Hi MELSILVIS

Are you adding any 'sports' drinks for the purpose of replacing electrolytes because of all your workouts?
If so, this could be a source of sodium.

The day of the strength training, my blood pressure can stay elevated, although it is dropping gradually. The next day it becomes totally normal. Have you tried getting it checked the next day?

There could be numerous factors for that to happen, such as high sodium intake, stress, alcohol consumption, etc. If you are concerned about it, it would be best to discuss this with your doctor as they would have your health history and be able to better determine what is happening for you.

My whole life, my blood pressure has been relatively low (110/70) and that was when I got NO exercise at all. Now, for the past 5 months I have been hitting the gym 4-5 days a week, doing cardio and strength training, and my blood pressure is always around 160/85 or so (at a resting state, not anywhere near the time I would have been working out). how can this be??? I can't figure out what is going on! emoticon
