Welcome to SparkPeople. Loosing weight is good you will find that you will keep it off easier than loosing fast. Self praising is a good thing but you will find that others will notice and start praising you at how much better you look. Yes we all just keep on working on getting healthier one day at a time. I am fairly new to this program, I've been trying to follow a good balanced diet for about a month now. I am loosing but oh soooo slowly. I was disappointed at first, but now I am happy to be loosing. (I will , I will , keep on) is my motto. I look at food a little differently, and think do I really want this? I am real big at praising myself.
