Thank you for the welcome. Today is day 4 of the rest of my life. I have been bumping right along. I had a headache on day 2 and I chewed out three people yesterday - totally not my style, lol! I found out that I can't stand the mocha shakes and I enjoy the Dutch chocolate ones. I actually like the cold cereal too. My problem so far seems to be that I get up at 5am so my meals are 6am, 8am, 10am, noon, and 2pm. We eat dinner at around 5pm so I am hungry by 8:30pm. Any suggestions?

WELCOME TO SPARK!!! Congrats on taking the first step into changing your life to a more healthier one by joining the site. Spark is filled with amazing people that will motivate, support and encourage you on your journey. There is so much to learn and discover here, take this one day at a time.
A couple of things I would like to suggestion to make you Spark experience a great one.
1. Put together your own Spark page. This is a great way to communicate with other members and build relationships that will support and motivate you. You can do this by going to the START page and the green section has something about your Sparkpage.
2. Make goals for yourself. Each month I make a list of what I want to accomplish that month and break them down to smaller goals to work with week by week. This way the BIG picture doesn't seem so big.
3. Join Spark teams. There are tons of teams here and you will be able to find ones that fit to what you like or want in a team.
The key to success here is to be active and you've already started by joining. You will find that everyone is willing to help you out if you need it. I am also new to the boards and today was day 1 on Medifast. I have done battle with fat most of my life - it won more than I did. I am 52, a wife of 25 years, mother of 3, grad student and I teach in an inner city school. I too started having way to many problems as a result of weight so here I am. I want to win the battle and overcome my addiction to food. I know it will be a fight each and every day to make the right choices.

Welcome! I hope this begins an exciting new journey for you. For me tracking was so important, as well as trying out different teams and message boards. But there are lots of ways to use the site, as I am sure you will discover. In the meantime congratulations for taking this first important step.

I'm new to spark people but not to weight issues. This has been an unsuccessful journey my entire life. I just turned 48 on Friday, married, one child. I'm starting to have too many weight related problems and I'm ready for a positive change. Hope this will be time to finally be successful.
