Look up Richard Bernstein M.D. on YouTube and watch his lectures. I got his book "The Diabetes Solution" at the library and it was the best information I've found on Insulin Resistance, which I have. He treats mostly Type 2 diabetics but he has Type 1 and he is a healthy 78. He has had it since he was 12.

Hi I am Trudy. I have been with spark people before and then life got in my way of positive change..........BUT now I am back with new outlook for 2014 and am hoping to lose about 50 lbs. I have diabetes and arthritis that inhibits some of my activities at certain times however I will do the best I can with what I have to work with. I am looking forward to all of the extremely positive information and help offered by this sit. Glad to be back
