WELCOME

Don't quit. Nearly everyone who joins Sparks gives up and quits. I've been hear nearly six years so I know. Just stay with this and work on making new habits.

I love Richard Bernstein M.D. who has wonderful lectures on YouTube. I have Insulin Resistance (he says ALL obese people have it) and I've learned so much from reading his book "The Diabetes Solution". He has had Type 1 diabetes since he was 12 and he is a HEALTHY 78 now. I got the book at the library.

I am obese for my size and need to lose more than my goal but I tried to make it reachable to start off. I work full time and volunteer at my church in the children's department. I joined a run/walk ministry and love to crochet. Exercise is new to me and it takes alot out of me to do any type of exercise. I have arthiritis in my back so therefore my legs bother me at times. I have been married for 31 years and have two grown boys, 22 and 26.
