Hi Margaret, I'm also new to Sparks People. I am 69 and homeschool my grandson. I have 50+ lbs. to lose (at the least) and have been on every diet you can imagine. This is a very friendly site and offers a lot of support which I think is helpful. It's hard to do it alone. I don't know about you, but I'm loving summer vacation ! :)
Feel free to write me.

I find teams for people who leave information in there posts and yours gave a lot so I will add some links to teams but you don't have to join any/all, please do not think I am pushy, good luck on your journey

I am a 66 year old Christian grammy who wants to talk to people who I can understand where I am and where I want to go. I spend most of my time and energy on my granddaughters, ages 6 and 8 who I homeschool and help raise. I love travel, books, my garden. I am Bipolar and have Rheumatoid Arthritiis which gives me pain every day both physically and emotionally. I ave isolated myself to adult relationships and really need a kindred spirit to talk to. I hope to increase my healthy eating habits. I had gastric bypass 10 years ago and have issues resulting from thiks. I am organised, creative and friendly, but lonely for conversation and learning new things. I am going to take yhe 8 glasses of water challenge and the 15 minutesa with God also. This is me.
