Well I can touch my toes but there are hundreds of yoga poses that are way too advanced for my flexibility levels (I'm with you on inability to heel touch with downward dog), if that counts for anything! But I'd love to be more flexible by practicing yoga, too. Flexibility is often forgotten in the whole "strength training/cardio" fitness model, but it has just as many benefits.

I joined the Spark community because I am 30 years old and can not touch my toes... not by a long shot! I only have about 10 lbs to lose, but my journey is not about weight loss, it's about flexibility. I have already started to notice the toll this is taking on my lower back and other joints, and I want to reverse this trend IMMEDIATELY! My goal is to practice yoga for at least 30 min/day, 5 days/week with the end result of being able to 1) touch my toes in a forward bend and 2) put my heels on the ground in down-dog. If there are any other inflexible people out there with a similar goal, I would love to meet you!
