Thank you! I realize it is going to be a tough journey for me and my lifestyle so I'm prepared for it as best as I can be. I'm trying to set up meals ahead of time but it's kind of hard with not much money for food buying when you are buying for 5 or more people on a limited budget. So I'm trying to go with what I can
I've got my pages set up as I've been keeping track of my food and fitness along with looking up new recipes and all. Now I'm working on getting myself up and moving more as I usually sit down a lot because well nothing really to do. I'm disabled so I don't work or go out much. I work a lot on my computer, while taking care of the toddlers.
So this is a fun way for me to explore, but I'm getting to know people and know that I'm not alone anymore with my struggles.
First off warmest welcome to Spark People. It's going to be a hard journey but stay committed & consistent. Set up your spark page so you can log everything (fitness & food) as well as adding friends and receiving messages. Search this site for recipes and plan meals for the week...Food prep is a big key. Tupperware or brown bagging works. It's about 80% is nutrition and the rest is activity. Try something new whether it be food or activity. In order for your body to change you have to change your mind. Listen if you need an accountability partner let me know. Stay committed in this journey!!!

Hello all my name is kylee I just joined sparkpeople in hope that i can become healthy. I have a hard time sticking with it. For some reason i end up finding excueses not to do something or eat healthy. Even though i do know that i feel better when i exercise and eath right i just cant keep motivated. Well that is why i joined this. I finally realized that I myself should be enough to keep motivated. I want to be healthy and i want to fell good about myself. So im here to push myself and taking it one day at a time to get fit. I will do this over time. i just need the right people to keep me going and to stay away from the food that keep me stuck in bad abits. 21 days!!! i read it takes 21 days to get into a habit. so thats my first goal.. do this for 21 days. Good luck to all you beautiful women out there and hope you reach your goals

Welcome Care. You and I have a lot in common. I'm also the aunt of seven children, ranging in age from 14 to the baby who will turn 2 in two months. I've always been chunky myself from age five or so, and got really bad around age twelve or thirteen. I also live with my parents, but also my brother and his two sons which are the babies of the "grandchildren" in the family. I'm going to add you as a Spark friend.
Starting weight: 309.4 1st goal: 10.4 pounds, 299 by July 2, 2014 (met June 25th) 2nd goal: 30 pounds- 10% of remaining weight, 269 by October 15, 2014 (met September 24th) 3rd goal: 27 pounds- 10% of remaining weight, 242 by January 7, 2015 (met January 28th) 4th goal: 24 pounds: 10% of remaining weight, 218 by April 29, 2015 (met May 6th) 5th goal: 22 pounds: 10% of remaining weight, 196 by August 19, 2015

Care, that's my nickname and it's one I use everyday. I'm a 36 year old woman with mental issues and emotional ones that add to my bad eating habits. Over the last two years I've gained over 150 lbs because of some medication and my bad eating habits along with my stress and emotional eating.
I'm the aunt of 7 wonderful kids ranging in the age of 14 to 2. I enjoy doing things with them but at my current weight I'm kind of stuck in a shell that I can't get out of. I've always been a heavier woman ever since I was 12. I hit puberty and things kind of went haywire. I'm never going to be smaller but I don't really want to be smaller I want to weigh less and be healthier. I'm severally overweight and having joint issues.
Some things I want to be able to do is eat better and cleaner along with losing some of the weight that plagues me. I want to be able to do things I used to do. Like get to the floor without being scared I won't be able to get back up or even garden with my mom as I live with my parents, mostly because of my mental issues. Or even play with the kids without losing my breathe.
My one big vice is Soda, Pop, Pepsi to be specific. It's hard to cut something out of your life when it's a constant in the house as mom drinks a lot of it too. And then there is size portions that I have issue with. I'm trying to cut back to a few more smaller meals instead of large ones. So between getting healthy mental wise as I take two different medications for mood disorders, and deep depression and I have to eat with my pills at with dinner. So I'm looking for support as I don't have the support of the community. As I'm not a social person, but I do have the support of my parents and sister.
