He has a new book being published by Dr. Mercola called "THE FAT SWITCH." I find him a great help since I am 63 and I have Metabolic Syndrome/Insulin Resistance and he addresses that issue, so I'm happy to listen to what he has to say. My doctor just tells me "Well, MOM, at YOUR AGE, you can't expect to lose weight with Metabolic Syndrome." I'm sorry, I want to find a better answer than that.

Welcome to SP, Carollee.

It looks as though you're doing great - congratulations!

I've found that taking up a variety of both strength training and cardio activities helps reduce wear and tear on the parts that are getting kind of "crunchy" (as I think of them). I've also learned to accept that some exercises just don't agree with my body and to feel no guilt or shame about that. I modify and move on.

Have fun getting fit and healthy and keep us posted!

Listen to the lecture on YouTube by Richard Johnson M.D. on how to lose fat. He wrote "The Sugar Fix" and is a Professor at the medical school in Colorado. It is a very interesting three part lecture. emoticon emoticon emoticon

emoticon Just the name Turbo Jam sounds painful! hehe I love Coach Nicole's 28 Day Bootcamp DVD. I also really like Leslie Sansone's Walk DVD's...she has a few with intervals of jogging.

My name is Carollee and I have psoriatic arthritis. I recently started turbo Jam, after the third day I suddenly remembered that I am 55 years old, 225 pounds and have alot of parts that don't work properly lol
