Hi, I am new to this type of communication but if it will help me on my way to a healthier life then I am game. :)
I am 47, will be 48 in June. I am a nurse and before becoming a nurse I had lost around 60 pounds, going from 230 lb to 170 lb. I worked in a factory and had a very supportive group of friends who helped me stay on track to lose that weight. Our plant closed and I decided to go back to school, I worked part time and school full time and found myself sliding into bad habits, not sleeping enough, eating fast food and letting stress work it's magic, I have gained back 30 lbs. I am terrified of slipping into the 200's again I really want to get healthy as I get older I feel the stress on my knees and back and being a nurse I see the results of poor lifestyle everyday and it is very scary.
Anyone willing to be a friend and help me in my challenge is very welcome
