Karen welcome to Sparkpeople. You have come to the right place. This is the best website. Everyone is very friendly and supportive. Lots of good information and useful tools to help you along the way.
Be sure to read the Getting Started Guide and take it from there. Join a few teams and become involved. This is where you will get most of your support and make friends too. You may also find reading some of the Success Stories very helpful too.
Good luck in reaching your goals. Together we will travel this weight loss journey and reach our goals too.

emoticon Greetings KSKOCKLERI - glad to have you onboard!

Sparking is all about creating healthier lifestyles and is not a quick fix. In fact, it's more of a journey than a destination. So take it slow making gradual changes, ones that are reasonable and sustainable for the long run - permanent changes that will lead to permanent results. Here's an article you may find helpful in getting started.

Surveys have shown that participants in Message Boards lost more weight and stayed with their program longer than non-participants so come by as often as you can. Here at SP you'll find all kinds of motivation and support from people who have similar goals as you do. We are all taking this journey together and we truly want to see each other succeed!!

SparkTeams help you meet new people with common interests and goals, so that you can support each other on your way to a healthier lifestyle. A couple of teams you may be interested in joining are:
