I decided I really need to lose some weight and make the effort to get in better physical shape, in the last two years I have had some significant health problems and just generally want to improve my physical, mental, and emotional health. I currently work third shift as a correctional officer, I get ill often, feel sleep deprived quite often, have asthma, arthritis in my knees and shoulders, high blood pressure also. I am tired of being on a constant array of medications to keep all these chronic health conditions in check. Would so love to get off some of my medications. I have been also going to college for the last four years working on obtaining my bachelors degree and have only four courses left to graduate. I just really have a lot of constant stress in my life, and need to learn how to better handle all of these issues sucompounding my own health and well-being. I want to live a well balanced and healthy life so I can enjoy my life instead of just trying to function on a day by day basis. I have two grown children and one grand-daughter who is four years old, she is such a joy to watch grow and spoil so different than raising my own children. I am in a positive mindframe and realize I need to make some major changes in my lifestyle habits and need to learn and adopt some new strategies to be sucessful in improving my overall health and well-being.
