If she is able to go with you, how about a walk and talk session at the park or a nearby mall if the weather is too hot? Help her in the kitchen and share some of what you have learned about healthier eating while you learn some of her family recipes.

Good morning.

I have my soon to be mother in law in town and she loved to cook so I am trying to stay on track but it is so hard when you have no control over what is put in your food. I am eating less and portioning so I feel good about that.
Her being here is throwing off my gym time too. I want to be at the gym but I want to spend time with her since I only see her once a year. I have been trying to do more active activities with her so I get exercise in even though it is not a formal work out. I feel good about that too...

Do anyone else have any other suggestion on food and working out while you have guests in your home?
