It also helps to get enough sleep, de-stress, and make a plan that fits into YOUR REAL LIFE - if you love Milky Ways, don't decide to never have one again; if you hate to get out of bed in the morning, think hard and long before you decide you must exercise every morning an hour before your normal wake-up time; if you have a hubby and kids who have schedules that prevent you from going to the gym in the evenings, find other times and other places to get more activity. Make a plan that works best for you.

The main reason I am trying to lose weight and get in shape is because I do not want to end up like my grandfather and die at the age of 50. I am 32 years old now, and I want to live a long healthy life. I just started using SparkPeople today, and so far I enjoy it. I currently weigh nearly 260 pounds. I am morbidly obese. I want to get down to at least 200 pounds by the time I am 35, if not sooner.
