if you want larger snacks you need to have smaller meals. if you want to skip snacks you can have larger meals. it doesn't matter which way you go so long as the calories add up at the end of the day. i will say that plain fruit or veggies doesn't make a great snack. they're just carbs. and good snacks are comprised of carbs, fat and protein. so having some nuts or nut butter or a little cheese with the fruit would balance it out and keep you full a little longer.

So I am new to spark people and I am trying to improve my diet. I am monitoring what I eat and know that I should snack to keep my metabolism working rather than just eating 3 times a day. So my question is approximately how many calories or what size snack do I need to eat to achieve this. The lt few days I have used a banana as a snack and also a couple of oz of raisins. Is this sufficient or do I need to eat more to make it beneficial.
Thank you In advance, I am new to this watching what I eat and before when I have tried and failed to lose weight I have just stopped eating as much and tried working out more. It didn't work so want to try and figure it the right way to do it instead.
