Have you signed up for the diabetes plan? If so, you can choose to use Spark's meal plans, which will count your carbs and all other nutrients for you. You can substitute individual foods if it gives you something you don't like. To do that, go to your Nutrition page, put your cursor over Tracker Options and go to Change diet settings. If you're not on the diabetes plan - well, I tried finding how you can get on that, but I couldn't find it - sorry! Maybe if you post a question on one of the help boards, someone can help you with that.
There is also an 8-week Diabetes weight loss challenge SparkTeam which you might find very helpful. That is here: http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/groups_ individual.asp?gid=46992
Good luck to you! Reach out to the Spark community - there are a lot of very helpful people here!
I can't really answer your question but if you repost it in the Diet and Nutrition board you might get an answer.
Best of luck
