I make hot cocoa with the 45 calorie coconut milk (the green carton of So Delicious in the dairy case at the grocery), so it only comes out to about 100 calories per cup. I heat 1 cup of coconut milk in the microwave for 2 minutes. While it's heating, I stir about a tablespoon of good cocoa powder, and sweetener to taste (right now I'm mixing sugar with a little stevia).
If you want crunch take some green or red pepper slices and dip in hummus or salsa. Air popped popcorn is also a good snack...about 100 calories for 3 cups....no butter, no salt, sprinkle parm or romano ontop or some cinnamon...you can even drizzle dark chocolate on top. Popcorn is one of the healthiest foods anyone can eat. It has protein, minerals and vitamins… and lots of fiber. You'll be surprised to learn you forgot how good real popcorn tastes. Popcorn ranks as a high protein food.
Dark chocolate is good for your heart and colon...Dark chocolate also has a low glycemic index...maybe try Ghirardelli cocoa 86% Dark Chocolate, not as sweet as the 72% one, but it is so intense that 2 small squares are all you want...Lindt is good too! Walgreens and Walmart is where I buy mine. I eat chocolate daily, but portion control is important. in moderation, cocoa can help improve your digestion, curb your cravings, and help you maintain regular bowel movements...
Maybe try a cup of hot cocoa. I personally stay away from granola bars as most are loaded with sugar and preservatives. You might want to try some chamomile tea it helps reduce anxiety and acts as a carmative...may help with cravings...pumpkin seeds are good too and maybe try pepitas which are already shelled seeds.

If you MUST have chocolate, a granola bar with chocolate chips is a good way to go. Just be sure it fits in your nutrition tracker!

Have a piece of fruit ! The natural sweetness of the fruit as well as the fiber should help curb any cravings you've having.
Also, do you have any really GOOD dark chocolate ? I'm not talking the cheap stuff. Dump the cheap stuff. If you'd really want to curb that craving, you can also have 1-2 blocks of highly quality dark chocolate at least 60% cocoa or better.
Dark chocolate is rich and full of heart healthy anti-oxidants. Don't inhale it like a Hoover. slowly savor that piece of chocolate. I think you'll find that 1-2 pieces of good dark chocolate will also sate the over all chocolate craving. the problem with cheap chocolate is just that. it's cheap. So, you need to eat more to get the flavor. not so with good dark chocolate.
For now, if you don't have any good chocolate, go have a peice of fruit.
