Habits are just that - habits. In time you will create the habit of drinking water instead of soda. You can do this!! I also recommend going cold turkey, but you will need to do what is best for you. My friend's dad quit drinking soda by adding water to his drink a bit at a time until eventually - he was just drinking water.
