Habits are just that - habits. In time you will create the habit of drinking water instead of soda. You can do this!! I also recommend going cold turkey, but you will need to do what is best for you. My friend's dad quit drinking soda by adding water to his drink a bit at a time until eventually - he was just drinking water.

You could, A) quit cold turkey. B) slowly cut back to one can a day, one can every three days, one can a week, until you're not drinking it anymore. I think quitting cold turkey might be the best option. I know some people have had success quitting cold turkey.

I am brand new to these forums, but I need help! :) I want to quit my daily dose of diet soda. I usually drink about 2 cans a day. It is always diet and caffeine free, so that is not a problem. The problem, though, is my desperate need for carbonation. I know I can have sparkling water, but I don't like the way it tastes. Any suggestions? I want to try to eliminate aspartame out of my diet. Thanks for the help!
