I'm not sure I have a genuine solution for you, but I can understand.
I've been having a real issue with kidney stone pain lately, and recently had an operation.
The post-op pain was horrible, making me waffle between not wanting to eat at all, to wanting to eat everything in sight, just to somehow 'numb' the pain.
No, it doesn't work - either way.
My only suggestion is to get items like carrot sticks, snow peas, radishes, zucchini wedges, and other veggies that are low in calories, but take time to consume, and mindfully eat them, instead of grabbing the first non-nutritional thing at hand.
