Years ago I was in a WW group (when I thought 120 pounds was 'fat', icidentally!) and took at in an interesting group challenge. The leader at the meeting told us to add NO salt to ANYthing for a week. She said we were not to add any other seasonings to vegetables either; said that the goal was to learn the difference between the taste of a green bean, peas, broccoli and other vegetable. The next week, she said: "ok, now do it again THIS week". This challenge lasted a month, with our returning each week thinking "ok, whew...now we can use salt again next week" She was wise to make this a week-to-week challenge instead of letting us know at the start that we were to do this for FIVE weeks!
At the end of the five weeks, no one participating in the challenge needed much if any salt on any vegetables! I still use very little salt on anything. Potatoes and meat? yes, but only a small sprinkling. When salt covers the taste of food, .... (you finish the sentence, okay?)!!
You may consider trying this challenge for yourself. Doing it will help you start using the altrnative herbs and spices...and ENJOYing them, too! Consider making this a 'streak'! Consider, in time after not used to salt, the possibility of combining vegetables with other vegetables and herbs; once you are used to not adding salt, you won't miss it!

Good morning all, I would like any suggestions on low sodium spices to use on veggies. I have low sodium chicken boullion but would like to know some more spices that I can use on veggies and meat. My weight loss is going great! I continue to walk 2 miles each day and try not to let the scale determine how my day goes.
