ANY time is a great time to start...especially with Sparkpeople. Give yourself a big hug for making this positive choice for yourself. Take your time to explore all the resources available for you here. It can seem overwhelming because there are so many resources to choose from. Two to consider using are the Nutrition and Fitness Trackers. Also, check out Spark Teams under the COMMUNITY Tab. Do searches on your goals, interests, hobbies, whatever. Then join one, two or more Spark teams. You'll enjoy getting to know these folks and giving and getting lots of encouragement along the way. It's all good. Enjoy the journey!

Oh my, I read your post and started laughing with the 9,999,999,999,999,999,999,999th try at this. My my we are kindred spirits, me too! HAHA!
I am 42 turning 43 this year and was successful in losing 20 pounds last year before my surgery and low and behold, it FOUND me. I keep saying I want to go on the weight loss witness protection program, then it may actually stay off right?
So I am starting over again, officially today and although I know I am starting at the bottom of the mountain, at least I am trying!

Good afternoon. I just joined SP in the last couple of days. This is my first time with SP, but my 999,999,999,999 attempt at losing thsi weight and keeping it off. I have had some success in the past, but life happened and I fell so far off the wagon, I forgot what the wagon looked like. I turned 39 not long ago and decided this is it. I am looking forward to lots of success and meeting some great people here.
