WELCOME TO SPARK!!! Congrats on taking the first step into changing your life to a more healthier one by joining the site. Spark is filled with amazing people that will motivate, support and encourage you on your journey. There is so much to learn and discover here, take this one day at a time. A couple of things I would like to suggestion to make you Spark experience a great one.
1. Make goals for yourself. Each month I make a list of what I want to accomplish that month and break them down to smaller goals to work with week by week. This way the BIG picture doesn't seem so big.
2. Join Spark teams. There are tons of teams here and you will be able to find ones that fit to what you like or want in a team.
The key to success here is to be active and you've already started by joining. You will find that everyone is willing to help you out if you need it. Spark friends are here for support, motivation and encouragement. Good luck on your journey to a healthier lifestyle! Again, welcome to the SP family! *~ Paula *~

Hi I'm also new to the Spark Community. I'm really fired up and have been dedicated to being successful at losing 56 pounds before September 26, 2013, I will be 66 years old and minus 56 pounds.
When I reach that goal, I would have lost 100 pounds and can have my knee (s) replacement. My doctor sat that goal for me.
I'm a past WW member, I lost 48 pounds about 2 years ago, but fell of the merry-go-round and gained 4 back. I lost my motivation. Spark has helped me regain that motivation!!

to SP! This is a great site, with lots of resources and loads of wonderful people ready to support you!
Posting on the message boards of your teams is a great way to meet people and make friends! My personal experience is that my Spark friends are my biggest motivation.
You have taken a step to a healthier and more active lifestyle. No matter what your goals are or your plans to accomplish them, SP has plenty of resources to help you. There are articles and blogs that address nutrition, health, wellness and fitness.
You will receive acknowledgement for your accomplishments-big and small—with Sparkpoints, trophies and goodies.
And, this is the most important aspect for me, you are now part of a community that will support and encourage you. Be sure to check out the teams. My teammates have made a difference when I stumbled. They also celebrated my triumphs.
If you have questions about any aspect of the website or the program, post a message in one of our Forums. For example, if you have a question about nutrition, post a message in the Diet and Nutrition Forum. Or a question about exercise, post in the Fitness Forum and so forth.
