Hello and Welcome to SparkPeople!

I started Sparking in June of 2007. By using Spark and some self discovery along the way, I'm down 50 pounds, and am holding steady at a healthy weight. Spark is a massive site, you'll be discovering new and exciting things for months to come!
* Diet is a dirty word. Every time I hear it, I wash my mouth out with chocolate! emoticon emoticon

Work out the weight you want to be by your wedding day and divide the overall difference into weekly chunks. A series of small goals are much easier to achieve than one big one.

Hi.

I'm Dawn. I like the idea of losing weight but not the reality of it! emoticon

I'm engaged and getting married October 26th. I'm a nerd and he's a geek....the wedding theme is "Doctor Who meets The Big Bang Theory" emoticon ...it'll be fun.

I'm NOT looking forward to the photos though :( At 207 lbs, this is the heaviest I've ever been. And I'm not good with long-term goals.......

A friend of mine suggested this site.....I'm just "showing up" right now.....hoping that this will be enough to get me to the next level.

...just trying to figure things out now.

I look forward to showing up and seeing what happens. :)
