Hmmm...my spark page. I think I have some exploring to do. I did not know I get a page.

Sounds like you've got some great motivation! You can try the information at the getting started guide to sample all the things on the site and figure out what parts you want to use: www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/get_started.as

Howdy Shawn and welcome back to Spark People! If all you do on the site is track, track, track and then read a bit of motivating and inspiring stuff, it ought to help a lot. Don't forget that the Spark approach is "a little at a time", gradually, baby steps; so approach the site the same way - a little here, what works there, keep coming back. Consistency is more important than "doing it all right". In any case, "rambling" is a much-appreciated Spark process, so ramble ON! If you get a chance, set up your Spark Page so you can blog and take part in that tried and true Spark process of sharing support with Spark Friends.

Hello everyone. Let's just start with the important stuff. I am 40 years old and my BMI was just measured at 40. I tip the scales at 268 lbs and I am not a line backer for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

I am a husband and father of two great kids. To whom I can no longer keep up with. Which is the man reason I am here. I can no longer say that I am overweight. If I am honest I am fat.

I joined this site years ago when a friend recommended it to me. Admittedly I find it a bit over whelming. But I read positive reviews about the community. So I thought I would give it another try.

My goal is to lose weight and reclaim activities like cycling, tennis, and hiking that I loved so much when I was younger. I want to do those things with my children.

Any how thanks for letting me ramble on and with your help and the help of the tools on this website hopefully a year from now my BMI is 25.

Bye,

Shawn
